Workflow excerpts are reading aids, not executable instructions from Codez. No third-party Skill was run to produce this page.

The purpose and workflow passages below are upstream material, organized and translated for reading. They are distinct from the separately labeled Codez editorial analysis.

What this Skill does

Use when tasks involve reading, creating, or reviewing PDF files where rendering and layout matter; prefer visual checks by rendering pages (Poppler) and use Python tools such as reportlab, pdfplumber, and pypdf for generation and extraction.

How the upstream workflow works

Workflow

Prefer visual review: render PDF pages as PNGs and inspect them. Use pdftoppm when available. If it is unavailable, install Poppler or ask the user to inspect the output locally. Use reportlab when generating new PDF documents.

When to use

Read or review PDF content where layout and visuals matter. Create PDFs programmatically with reliable formatting. Validate final rendering before delivery.

Temporary files and output conventions

Use tmp/pdfs/ for intermediate files; delete when done. Write final artifacts under output/pdf/ when working in this repo.

Requirements and setup

Dependencies (install if missing)

Prefer uv for dependency management. If uv is unavailable, consult the alternative installation instructions in the complete source.

Limits and quality checks

Quality expectations

Maintain polished visual design: consistent typography, spacing, margins, and section hierarchy. Avoid rendering issues: clipped text, overlapping elements, broken tables, black squares, or unreadable glyphs.

Final checks

Do not deliver until the latest PNG inspection shows no visual or formatting defects. Check that headers, footers, page numbers and section transitions are polished.

Start with a safe trial

  1. Check the supported host and the repository installation instructions. Keep the Skill directory and its referenced scripts, assets and documentation together; SKILL.md alone may omit dependencies.
  2. Give the agent your real input, desired output and acceptance criteria. Invocation syntax and available tools depend on the host; this site does not assume a universal install command.
  3. Try the source workflow in a disposable project or on a copy. Review operations that change files, remote services or billable resources before allowing them.
  4. Validate the output against the source quality checks and your own requirements. A successful trigger or a high repository Star count does not establish a correct result.

Translation and scope

This reading guide selects passages from the pinned upstream SKILL.md. Translation is assisted. It is not a complete manual or a claim of tested compatibility. Read the original and its referenced files before use.
