What this Skill does
Azure AI Text Translation SDK for real-time text translation, transliteration, language detection, and dictionary lookup. Use for translating text content in applications. Triggers: "text translation", "translator", "translate text", "transliterate", "TextTranslationClient".
How the upstream workflow works
Azure AI Text Translation SDK for Python
Client library for Azure AI Translator text translation service for real-time text translation, transliteration, and language operations.
Upstream passage · L13 ↗Authentication & Lifecycle
> 🔑 Two rules apply to every code sample below: > > 1. It works locally (Azure CLI / VS Code / Developer CLI) and in Azure (managed identity, workload identity) with no code change.
Upstream passage · L33 ↗Legacy: API Key (existing keyed deployments)
New code should use DefaultAzureCredential above. The Translator service has two specifics that make API-key auth still common in existing deployments: Token-credential auth requires a custom subdomain endpoint (https://.cognitiveservices.azure.com). If you only have the global endpoint (https://api.cognitive.microsofttranslator.com), you must either provision a custom subdomain or stay on the key-based path until you do.
Requirements and setup

Start with a safe trial
- Check the supported host and the repository installation instructions. Keep the Skill directory and its referenced scripts, assets and documentation together; SKILL.md alone may omit dependencies.
- Give the agent your real input, desired output and acceptance criteria. Invocation syntax and available tools depend on the host; this site does not assume a universal install command.
- Try the source workflow in a disposable project or on a copy. Review operations that change files, remote services or billable resources before allowing them.
- Validate the output against the source quality checks and your own requirements. A successful trigger or a high repository Star count does not establish a correct result.
