web-artifacts-builderPurpose, usage and source
Suite of tools for creating elaborate, multi-component claude.ai HTML artifacts using modern frontend web technologies (React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui). Use for complex artifacts requiring state management, routing, or shadcn/ui components - not for simple single-file HTML/JSX artifacts.

What this Skill does
Suite of tools for creating elaborate, multi-component claude.ai HTML artifacts using modern frontend web technologies (React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui). Use for complex artifacts requiring state management, routing, or shadcn/ui components - not for simple single-file HTML/JSX artifacts.
How the upstream workflow works
Step 1: Initialize Project
Run the initialization script to create a new React project: This creates a fully configured project with: ✅ React + TypeScript (via Vite) ✅ Tailwind CSS 3.4.1 with shadcn/ui theming system
Upstream passage · L24 ↗Step 2: Develop Your Artifact
To build the artifact, edit the generated files. See Common Development Tasks below for guidance.
Upstream passage · L41 ↗Step 3: Bundle to Single HTML File
To bundle the React app into a single HTML artifact: This creates bundle.html - a self-contained artifact with all JavaScript, CSS, and dependencies inlined. This file can be directly shared in Claude conversations as an artifact. Requirements: Your project must have an index.html in the root directory. What the script does:
bash scripts/init-artifact.sh <project-name>
cd <project-name>Requirements and setup
No short requirements passage was selected from this file. This does not mean the Skill has no dependencies. Check the repository setup instructions and referenced files.
Limits and quality checks
No separate limits passage was selected from this file. This does not mean the Skill is safe for every input or environment. Review the complete source and validate your own result.
Start with a safe trial
- Check the supported host and the repository installation instructions. Keep the Skill directory and its referenced scripts, assets and documentation together; SKILL.md alone may omit dependencies.
- Give the agent your real input, desired output and acceptance criteria. Invocation syntax and available tools depend on the host; this site does not assume a universal install command.
- Try the source workflow in a disposable project or on a copy. Review operations that change files, remote services or billable resources before allowing them.
- Validate the output against the source quality checks and your own requirements. A successful trigger or a high repository Star count does not establish a correct result.
